Our environmental policy

TCECUR works actively to meet the requirements for environmental protection and health. In line with this commitment, we have taken note of the requirements of EU directives regarding the restriction of using certain hazardous substances in our electronics products and are working on constructive solutions. The aim of the directives is to take preventive measures on a legal basis, as the number of units of electronic products is rapidly increasing, which means that waste management is becoming increasingly important.

WEEE

WEEE means “Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment”. The purpose of the directive is to prevent the generation of waste in the form of electrical and electronic products and to increase the reuse and recycling of these products. It also aims to increase the environmental awareness of stakeholders affected during the product life cycle, e.g. producers, distributors, consumers and, in particular, those directly involved in the treatment of waste from such products. Products released on the market after August 13 2005, must be clearly marked with the name of the manufacturer, as well as with the symbol consisting of the crossed-out wheelie-bin.

EE-registret

Producers covered by the WEEE directive must also be registered in the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency’s EE Register. TCECUR is registered in the EE Register and reports the quantity of electronic equipment that we place on the market.
